I have a problem getting iBooks to define words it just says "no definition found" when I try to define a word. Help ?

I've searched the net for a solution for the last couple of days; however, no joy whatsoever!
I have the same issue: it seems that iBooks searches in the "wrong" dictionary. In my case it tries to find an explanation for an English language term in the German language dictionary. I am rather frustrated... and stil looking for help!
I also have this problem constantly. Sometimes I can fix this by editing the original ePub file and specifying the language I want iBooks to use for definitions. But more often than not, iBooks just ignores the file's language and uses whatever it wants. I have downloaded four dictionaries, and when reading anything other than English it's impossible to predict which one iBooks will use...
