what does iphone insurance cover?
i cracked my iphone and i was wondering can i get a new phone or do they just fix the screen?

If you are referring to the AppleCare protection plan: If you have AppleCare plus, they will repair or replace your device for $49.00 USD. If you don't have AppleCare Plus, the accidental damage would not be covered by the limited hardware warranty.
If you are referring to your Cellular Carriers insurance, it depends on the plan, and you should contact the carrier or the insurance provider.
You do have the option of having Apple repair or replace the device as an out of warranty repair. The OOW Repair fee is $149.00 USD.
