iTunes 11.0.3 Update Causes Notes To Crash

Immediately following the installation of this iTunes update, a prompt from Mail appeared (it was not open at the time) to add one of my MS Exchange accounts and Notes attempted to open as well. I added the account (thought it was already there, but I almost always use Outlook for Mac so I don't recall for certain) and the set up appeared to complete normally with Mail and Calendar. However, Notes did not open and crashed on each subsequent attempt to open it. The list of notes shows momentarily, but then crashes every time. Repairing disk permissions did not reveal any permission issues. Notes is now unusable and I'd like to restore it so I can access the information contained there. Anyone else have the same problem? Ideas on how to repair it?
