Erroneous Pop-up Dialogue Log-in Window

If I am already logged-in to iTunes and I am attempting to rent a movie, then, why am I sporadically (but not all the time) getting an erroneous pop-up dialoge window--which requests a login? I have iTunes running on a Windows 7 Ultimate OS.--Russell
