OS X Calendar Time Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem and I don't find any help on the net:

Each time I'm entering a new entry in my iCal / Kalender on OS X,

the time automatically changes on UTC (-2hrs)

An example

I'm entering: Dinner@home 19-22

For a short time it's listed as wished and then suddenly changed

on UTC with the new time 17 - 20.

I checked my system preferences but everything is fine.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you.renato

Hello curiousabout,

It sounds like there may be a setting toggled that we do not necessarily want. In Calendar > Preferences > Advanced, there is an option for "Turn on time zone support".

Calendar: Calendar Advanced preferences

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11546

When this checkbox is selected, you can change the time zone for all events in the top-right corner of Calendar, and you can choose a different time zone for individual events.

The other symptom that might be occurring is if you are syncing this calendar with a service like iCloud, but you have a different time zone setup for that service. To change your time zone for iCloud, see the following article:

Thanks,

Matt M.
