May 22, 2013 10:19 AM in response to akshar70by King_Penguin,Was the battery empty or near empty ? It can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond. If it wasn't empty then have you tried a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Jun 29, 2016 3:35 PM in response to King_Penguinby Naquat,I have the same problem. IOS 9.3.2 and I have tried ALL of the "Push these buttons" and nada. The screen can show the Apple icon and I can get it to the Restore mode but it will not restore. I tried downloading updates but that doesn't work either. I tried using iskysoft to get it back to "Normal" and that didn't work.
I want to save my content in OnSong because it will literally take me many hours to re-enter all those songs and chords….
iTunes message says the iPad can't be updated.
Now What???

Jun 30, 2016 6:42 AM in response to King_Penguinby Naquat,Depending on what function I've tried I get: You need to update, you need to restore (which I tried once but don't want to do, I believe 2014 error message, failed to update. iTunes also will not recognize the iPad unless I go to "Restore" mode on the iPad. iTunes will download software (takes a LONG time) but will not update.
It's just stuck in a loop of the Apple logo coming on, then black screen, then logo etc.
I've also checked and there is no "gs.apple.com" file
I remembered last night that a few years back I had a similar experience and someone told me to just let the iPad sit for 3-4 days until the battery died and then recharge it. That worked but I'm not sure if the error messages are the same.
