T type versus L type
I had the L type converter and my family are sending me the T type converter for my Mac book pro 1278. Will it work?

If it is the same or greater wattage, it should.

So I will not need any adapter. It will just fit into the laptop, right?
No adapter is required if both power adapters are for MBPs. Retina MBPs are another matter.

I have both types for my three MBPs and they fit all of them.
