Is iCloud available on older Macs (2005)
Is iCloud available on older Macs (purchased in 2005)? Purchased a new iPad and have iPhone 4S which has iCloud but not sure it is available for older Mac.

iCloud needs OS X 10.7.2 or newer. This version requires a Intel Core 2 Duo processor or later. If you bought your computer in 2005, you have a PowerPC or a Intel Core Duo processor, so you can't install that version and you can't use it. However, you can still set up Mail > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5330
