There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.

Leaving it in rice overnight isn't going to work. You need to leave it in at least 72 hours and if it doesn't work by then, then your phone is probably dead.

For the first year with apple you get insurance just take it back to the shop and see what they say if you damaged it yourself you might have to pay like £50+ but its worth it because its an iPhone 5
