Would I use the same procedure above for Mountain Lion 10.8.3 for if the StartupItems folder does not contain the item referenced in the message?
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
If it was disabled, then find out it's name and it usually gives a clue what third party software it belongs too, then either update the software or use the developers method to uninstall it.
