I just uploaded pictures off my ipad mini into iphoto. After the upload I said to remove the photos from the ipad. The screen is black and it will not boot. It was attached to the computer at the time, so it should be fully charged.

Try restoring the device by pressing Home+Power buttons, try ignoring the red slider and continue to press!
no joy. get the boot up apple logo, then a garbage display. (Some random horizontal lines of mixed colors on a mostly black screen - although one time my entire screen was a bright red color)

Uh-oh looks like hardware related problem! First let's verify it! Restore it from iTunes but dont restore it from a backup after restoring. Set it up as a new iPad! Let's see if it worked.If no hope, take it to a service centre asap. looks like the display digitizer needs some attention.
I'll give this a try when I can. I'm not sure that itunes will see it...
