buying more iCloud storage different id

I want to buy more cloud storage for one of my family members but we use my apple id to purchase songs and apps. Can I use my iTunes ID to buy storage for my family member's iCloud ID?

hello there Mr Myth,

If you would like to purchase more storage for a differnet AppleID, that AppleID has to be signed into iCloud in Settings>iCloud. Then, this article outlines how to upgrade storage for that signed in AppleID iCloud: Storage upgrades and downgrades found here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4874.

Upgrade your iCloud storage plan

iOS 5 or later

  1. Tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Change Storage Plan.
  2. Select the amount of storage you want, then tap Buy (in the upper-right corner).
  3. Follow the instructions that appear.

All the very best,

Sterling
