My iPhone 5 doesn't pick up any sound when recording with the front camer, even when i speak normally with the microphone facing me.
Voice memos, siri, everything with backwards facing camera works perfectly fine, just not when it's on the front facing setting. All i here is static
Any suggestions, i've reset and made sure all the software is upto date

nathanrcfell, did you ever find out what the issue was with your phone? My daughter's iPhone 5 is doing the exact same thing. Microphone records properly with the rear facing camera, only static is heard when recording on front facing camera.
