Certain Https-pages don't open in Safari 6.0.4

When i try to open https- webpages I often get a white screen and nothing happens for minutes, while they open perfectly in Google Chrome, wich is the only reason I still use Chrome cause I thought Safari has grown a lot better over the years.. Does anyone have any idea what settings I might have to change or what could block Safari from opening up the requested pages like the one from my bank or even when I go to the check-out off the apple store.. 😀

From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences Extensions

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.
