Netflix stopped loading with parental controls on
My kids' accounts have parental controls on and for over a year this caused no problem with Netflix access. However starting a few days ago the Netflix web site fails to load properly. I'm not talking about the actual streaming of movies - it doesn't get that far. When you login to Netflix instead of seeing the recommended list of movies, ones watched recently, etc, it ends up displaying an all white page in Safari. I tried using FireFox and it also fails, but in it's case it says the connection was reset.
The problem doesn't seem to be related to actual access restrictions. As a debugging step I turned off Parental Controls on my daughter's account and she could load Netflix just fine. Then I turned Parental Access back on for the account and it failed to load the page. Note there are NO access restrictions being enforced in this test. I.e. she can run all applications, has unrestricted access to the entire web, so forth. Just the act of enabling Parental controls causes Netflix to break.
All other internet access works fine from the kids' accounts.
Has anyone run into this problem and have a solution?
I'm running 10.8.3 with all software updated. And as I mentioned, this has worked fine for a long time, it only started to fail this week.
