open fdf file

Hi,

how can I open fdf files? My system is up-to-date, Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed but when I double click on a fdf file nothing happens..

Select an .fdf file in Finder and in the menubar, go to File > Get Info. Under the "Open With" category, make sure the application of your choice (likely Acrobat Reader) is selected, then click Change All... Close the window, and try opening the document.

Hi plutuz,

I've tried everything, no way...

Does "everything" include right click (control click) then Open With > Preview?

Ever since I installed Adobe Acrobat, I have had trouble with PDF forms (they appear to work for me, but then have blank fields when I send them by email). The solution that works for me is to set Preview as the preferred app for PDFs (and presumably .fdf files???)

Hope this helps,

Ian.
