Q: I have lost my recent music downloads from my i-phone. They appear on my playlist but will not play. How do I get them to play?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. The best way to get music back is to check out the articles that goes of downloading previous purchases.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If they were not purchased through iTunes, then just sync through iTunes again.
