my macbook air 2008 can only connect to wi-fi if it is very near to a router,about 1 meter distance,more than that,it can not detect any network,

since i upgraded from snow leopard to lion 10.7.3,my macbook air 2008,can only detect and connect to wi-fi networks if it is very near the router,,,any help?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)
