How do you change the default font size in imessage

How do change the Default Font size. I would like to make the font larger for my outgoing messages. I was able to very easly change the default for incoming messages.

Hi JeriB,


Unfortunately for the Messages app that answer is incorrect.


The actual method is to change the Background colour to the Text (normally the Balloons) and then you can change the Font and it's Size and even colour the text itself.


(As the others have posted.)

Some colours don't work together.

Broadly speaking it is best to keep to printing ideas - Light on Dark or Dark on Light - but of course there are exceptions.

Hi Lootman7,


That works per letter or character of phrase per each iMessage (or other Message) within the app.

Pic with sync back from iPhone (which in fact proves it is just the server sending it as if from the iPhone as the iPhone can't do this)

You will notice that some options don't work that well.

Also you cannot change the background colour this way.
