I'd take a look at the following article that assists with what to do if you experience an issue connecting your Apple TV to a wireless network:
Apple TV: Troubleshooting wireless connections

Hope that helps,

I had (past tense maybe!) your exact problem and I believe I found a solution after 9 months!
You have to first check your serial number and find the links of Apple Tv's that might be able to be replaced. You have to google that info yourself. Then get the replacement and try it.
Then you might have to get a new router, but you appear to have an Airport which is what finally worked for me.
All that work for one functioning Apple TV? Yes, that appears to be the way it is.
Good Luck!
