Frozen Macbook Air

I have a Macbook Air and up to this evening, ithas performed flawlessly. Tonight, It froze. The keyboard is unresponsive, I can'y manually shout it down and after sitting closed, it would no go to sleep or shutdown. Is there anything I can do or will have to take it into service.
