I am running Garage Band 11 on a Mac Book Pro.
When I first create a new guitar track I am able to change all the settings.
If I switch tracks and come back everything is blank and I am no longer able to change the settings.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Completely blank, or do you see at least the wooden floor and a stompbox?
Then click the "Edit" button in the upper right corner, and click any of the items sitting on the floor to change the settings. Also, there should be hidden arrows to step the stomp boxes, if you hover the mouse to left or right of the box.

Under Guitar Track there is nothing. It is completely blank.
I cannot edit anything....
You are asking about an Electric Guitar track, right?
And you do not even see the floorboards, when you select the track again?
Does that happen for any guitar track?
In any project, or only in the project you are currently working on?
If it happens in all projects, does it happen in all user accounts? see: Isolating an issue by using another user account
I think so ... When I create a new track I select electric guitar. I know there should be amps and effects availble but there is nothing under track info. - it is just blank.
This is happening on all all guitar tracks and projects.
I will try another user account and see if that is any different.
