Q: i went to restore my iPhone 4s and update it and it all worked until a pop up came up and said i couldn't restore this device because its not eligible or sum thing ? whats wrong with it

please help mei forgto my iphone passcode and locked myselfout so i went to restore myphone then just when it was almost finished a box popedup saying sumthing lkike i cant restore because the iphone isnt eligible or sumthing?
