Connecting a loewe tv to apple tv

I have a loewe tv and I am trying to use apple tv. Its all connected.. When I turn the TV on I get... free to air TV. There is no apple symbol. I find these instructions a bit like trying to bake a cake where they say, get flower... eat the cake. I am sure its easy but it has defeated me.

How do I get an apple symbol? Then (assuming I can get it) what do I do next. The apple instructions are very poor because if you can't get t the first step, then the rest is useless.

Over to the forum, step by step please.

Replying to myself... The loewe tv have a hidden panel for the HDM1 port. Take the back panel off where the power cord goes and all with be revealed. The way you take it off is not marked either, so use the bottom of the panel and it should just pop out. Its a fairly tedious process from there as you need to input your itunes account details and password (which of course no one can remember!) We are nearly there...
