Either one of them - iPhoto or Aperture - will do fine.
Just as the document you came from says:
For the basic "My Photo Steam"
- This Photo Stream feature requires OS X Lion v10.7.2 (or later)
- and iPhoto 9.2 (or later) or Aperture 3.2 (or later).
and the shared streams:
- OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 (or later)
- and iPhoto 9.4 (or later) or Aperture 3.4 (or later).
