Slip rows beneath row 1 ?

select row 1, then do one of the following:

- type the key combination <OPTION> + <DOWN ARROW>

- click the contextual menu for row 1, and select "Add Row Below"

What you are asking about is called Freezing the Header Row. You need to be in Sheet View, and Row 1 must be a Header Row. Then, Choose Freeze Header Rows in the Headers and Footers section:
