Q: thunderbolt update
hi i just got a new MacBookPro to replace a very sick MacBookPro (but thats another story)
Before i started using it, I did the right thing and Open App Store and bring it all Up To Date, which i thought went quite well, despite some of the updates being very large and it re-booted several times, so i kept on updating, or so i thought, until it hadnt got anymore updates to install, UNTIL i realised i had installed the UpDate for Thunderbolt Firmware 1.2 3 times, and still it said it wanted updating AGAIN !.
so i thought it fair to ask the members, what do you think is going on ?
can i safely ignore this Update that WILL NOT update ?, i am never going to use Thunderbolt anyway ????

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), iPad 2, iPhone 4S

The Thunderbolt update is a firmware update. Unless you saw a gray screen with a progress bar after restart, the firmware wasn't updated. The Mac must be connected to AC power for the firmware to update.
And, yes, you can ignore it.
