Sold laptop, ebay scam?

Hello, I recently sold my laptop through ebay. I set the password as "password" I think the ebay user is trying to scam me but idk,

He said the password wasn't correct, I assured him it was, but also sent him guides on how to reset the password.

This is what he sent me back "

I already done it, man.
The security pass is encrypted, APPLE is charging 75 dlls for recover the system, my job partner will pay 25 dlls, we will need 50 dlls, this encryption is used for security purposes in case of stolen items, when he tries to install new operative system wont let him, and did everything and also went to San Diego, CA. where it is the Apple technician center, and they said the same, they made another procedure for recovery... SO, I need you to help me with that, please...
I dont really want to make all movement to return the item, really need the laptop for job purposes, you can make a partial refund for 50 dlls...
You can call to Apple center and they will say the price for this model will be 75 dlls.
Thanks,
Waiting for response.

The macbook is Apple MacBook Pro 13.3" Laptop (June, 2009)

I know for sure you can boot with the disc to change the password, as I've done it before, do you think he's scamming me? What should I do? What should I tell him? What should I do if he trys to charge back? Is he lying to me? I changed thepassword without any 75dlls before.

Has the deal been consummated? Do you have any money at risk? If not, I suggest you advise the purchaser that the deal has been completed and that you no longer have an interest in the MBP since it belongs to him. Tell him you sympathize with his alleged situation and wish him well in resolving the problem

Since it has been two months, I fail to see where this issue, if there is an issue, has taken so long to come to fruition.

Refund the money and take it back. Be prepared to pay shipping both ways, in other words you will have lost money on this deal.

It gets worse. Don't be surprised if the buyer sends you a different MBP or swapped its logic board. Such buyer fraud has become common.

Selling on eBay is far riskier than buying. When I sell a Mac, I include pictures of the serial number on its case as well as screenshots of About This Mac showing the logic board serial number in the listing photographs. Buyers intending to scam me move on to the next victim.

As a seller, you must properly prepare a Mac for sale. This means erase it completely, remove any firmware password protection, install its originally installed OS, and include any applicable OS X installation discs. The buyer should have nothing to do other than turn it on and complete Setup Assistant exactly as if it were purchased directly from Apple.

Anything other than that leads to misunderstandings and frustration for both buyers and sellers.

Take it back, absorb the shipping loss, hope and pray it's the same one you sent, properly prepare it for sale, relist it, and learn from the experience.

Edit: If it has been two months (sixty days) you may be off the hook. The last time I checked a buyer only has 45 days to file a SNAD.

another Edit: Upon reading and re-reading the buyer's choice of wording, I get the distinct impression he's trying to scam you out of $50. In that case you are still better off taking it back, if eBay's policies obligate you to do so.
