Q: Apple TV needs Restart for Airplay especially after resuming from Sleep Mode

I have to restart my ATV every time is wake up, otherwise im unable to Airplay to it or use the Remote App. Only difference is my Mac is able to Airplay and access my ATV once it wakes up.

i have the exact same problem.

after Apple TV goes to sleep mode, streaming from any of my devices (iphone, ipad, and macbook air) is not possible until i restart the apple tv.

network connection is good, i can access the internet, and my devices "see" the appletv, but when trying to stream to it, the video is just getting back to the device i am using for it.

please help!

I noticed the same problem with my Apple TV. I discovered that disabling the Sleep mode so that it stays on continuously solved the problem.

The solution is to change your Wireless settings from automatic to manual. (Static IP) Worked for me.
