LG R400 backup to restore on my 15 MacBook Retina?

Hi, I have a backup folder from my old laptop LG R400 on an external hard drive, is it possbile to restore some files (like pictrues, doc,..etc) on my MacBook and how?! Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

sure just connect that external to your mac and copy the files over. Images, pictures, are basically universal, JPG PNG and even RAW file formats, can be read by os x or a editing program that can read the RAW file formats you have.


As for documents you will need the proper program on your mac to read them. If they are ms word and excel files there are several office programs available to read them. Even ms office for mac along with free office programs.
