When troubleshooting temperature, please refer to the following article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2101
When using the device or charging the battery, it is normal for it to get warm. The exterior of the device functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the device to the cooler air outside.
By all means, if you believe the temperature is a concern, you can isolate the issue by restoring your iPhone as new:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software

Thanks,
Matt M.

I use my iPhone for lots of mapping/GPS and yes it does get very warm.
Just verify your operating temperature and you should be set!

The above information is useful. Thanks.
But I checked all the details and all are intact for my iphone 5s which I bought just a month back.
Still when I talk for long time (10-15 mins) or use internet from more than 10 mins, the backside of the phone getting heated up.
Is this normal for any iphone including 5S?
Kindly provide more details around this, as a new buyer it is worrying me.
Thanks.
