Q: Home Sharing

I am having problems w/ my apple tv. I'm being told to log onto home sharing, but when I go to log on, I'm being asked, "If I would like to turn off home sharing"? I am logged on to home sharing under the same email address on my computer, one night everything just stopped working. Am I missing something or doing anything wrong?
