How do i backup my jailbroken ipod 4th gen if i need to connect to itunes. i cannot restore it without the notes and photos

Okay so my ipod is a 4th gen jailbroken one. i need to save the notes and photos, i dont care about anything else. i just NEED those. but my idiot friend locked me out and now i have to connect to itunes. but when i do, it asks for a password. and it doesnt let me type anything!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thankyou

If that Touch is disabled due to misentey of the passcode, there is only one thing you can do, which is not likely to work on a jailbroken device, restore from recovery mode by following all of the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 but note that unless you have a current backp all content will be lost. Recovery mode restores the iDevice to factory condition, that is, all content and settings are erased.


There is no other way to unlock a disabled device, so you must have a backup or you will lose your photos in the recovery/restore process. The difficulty come in with jailbroken devices since they not be restorable no matter what. Often they're bricked by the restore process itself depending on the jailbreaking method that was used.
