when i open the hard drive to search for a file, there is a "?" by the search field. i guess that means that indexing is not complete. how do i get the indexing to complete and what will replace the "?" when it is done so i will know it is finished? bg

If the system still doesn't do a complete index or no indexing then someone turned off the indexing feature with a terminal command or part of the os is broken in some way.
