Q: can't get past the verify screen?
Setting up Find My Friends for my 85 year old father in law. Have it working perfectly for me and my wife. But on his iPhone 4 I cannot get past the splash: "Check uour email for instructions to verify this account'. I've pressed 'Resend Email' but no email arrives?
I used this address: XXX@comcast.net as his apple id, and I was able to establish his apple password. When I go to settings, and look at the new icloud account the only thing I can do is press 'Check Email', which of course takes me over to Mail and the comcast account. All other options not available. I do see that below 'icloud' is Account: xxx@comcast.net'.
This has to be the issue, using the same email address, but I dont see how else to do it. Perhaps I should just get him on .mac?
(this phone was previously my wifes and Find my Friends was fully functional; she has a .mac account).
