i have tried to restore my iphone 3G and it erased the old software my phone is now in restore mode and cant be used. i click on restore and it keeps bringing up that there is an error. HELP ME PLEASE 🙂

Also it may be the computer you are trying to restore it on. Another thing... the iPhone 3G can still only use iOS 4.2.1... It may be giving you this error because the latest software is 6.1.3 and is not compatible with your iPhone. If you are running an old version of the iTunes program it can also cause errors. Make sure to update your iTunes.
it may have been jail broken am not sure it wasnt mine til recently
Incorrect. iTunes will not attempt to restore a 3G with anything other than iOS 4.2.1.
This particular error message - 1505 - has been associated with jailbroken phones, in particular crashes during attempted jailbreaking and attempts to restore.
Yes well I have seen this issue a few times and if the iTunes is an older version it seems to get "confused".
Not so. It's the Apple servers that determine which iOS version to install, based on the iphone model. The only time out-of date iTunes versions fail is when attempting to connect with a model iPhone newer than the iTunes version was coded for.
