Q: Can I attach Original Apple TV to my stereo system (no TV) and use it for music only?

Can I attach Original Apple TV to my stereo system (no TV) and use it for music only?  I have a spare ORIGINAL Apple TV and I'd like to make it the household digital msuic system, away from the TV sets.  But it doesn't seem to work unless I connect it to a TV???

Got it to work by changing the resolution of the TV in AppleTV settings...for which I had to go connect to a TV briefly, of course!

 

Anyway, it works now.  I like using this Original Apple TV as our music player because it wirelessly updates the library but doesn't rely on Wi-Fi signal while playing music.
