Mac Unstable after applescript
Hi All,
I thought automators and applescripts would make me a better person , and i started experimenting....Well this is where that has led me to!
I was trying to put a shortcut on the Mac to click on to restart or shut down the computer...
It was like this:
=====
tell application "Finder"
restart
end tell
=======
I used this script and it worked, but after the Mac shut down, it restarted and shut down itself three times in succession before i could do anything..
I then interrupted the cycle by holding down the Power button at the back of my intel iMac.
After that I started up, with safe mode, No worries, restarted, and things slowly settled down to normalcy.
Today, four days later, the Mac suddenly shut down and restarted saying a problem had forced it to restart suddenly, and queried whether i wanted safe mode. I said no, and here i am trying to see if my apple script is still somewhere being launched!
I have sent the automatically generated error message to apple although i am not sure if i would get any feedback on an individual level.
Being new (if not plain stupid) I am not sure where i can find the apple scripts that i made! (which is the main answer i am looking for)
I have verified disks with disk utility as well as ONYX and all is fine; ran onyx through all maintenance issues.
Thank you for any suggestions...
John
