Q: how can I back up my notes from iPhone to iCloud?

I have an article for you that will help you get the iCloud notes to show up on your PC. In order to have Notes syncing into Outlook on your PC, you will need to enable your iCloud mail account. This can be done by following the instructions in this article:

Please be aware, that as it says in the last article:

Note:   In Microsoft Outlook, you can see your iCloud notes by expanding your iCloud account in the sidebar, then selecting the Notes folder for the account. You should add and edit your iCloud notes only from an iOS device, a Mac, or the Notes web app at icloud.com. If you add or edit iCloud notes using Outlook, those changes don't appear on your iOS 6 devices, your Mac, or icloud.com.

To use iCloud Notes, your iCloud account must have an @icloud.com email address. You can create one by turning on Notes in iCloud preferences on your Mac or in iCloud settings on your iOS device.

In order for any of this to work, you will want to have the iCloud Control Panel installed on your PC, if you don't already have it installed. If you need the download link for that program, it can be found right here:
