3G not working on my iPhone 5

Hey guys, I live in Brazil and I recently bought my unlocked iPhone 5 in Miami. When I got it, I updated it to iOS 6.1.4. My 3G is not working, even when the 3G symbol appears. If the 3G is enabled, I don't have connection with the EDGE network either. If I disable the 3G, sometime the EDGE works, but only sometimes. I'm quite sure the problem isn't with my carrier, because I went to the store to complain and they tested the SIM card on their iPhone 5, and it worked as it should. I'm also sure the problem isn't with my network card, because the WiFi works properly on my iPhone 5. So, is this happening to any of you? Is the problem with the iOS?

Ireland not listed. What to do then? Should I ring apple in cork to see what they say on this matter? Phone is only 4days old and 3G hasn't been working from the start. I just thought I was in a bad reception area considering I live in Dublin city. Hence I've contacted meteor store to liaise my problem with one of the staff, but they couldn't help me backing themselves up with things like we'll change the SIM card, settings are changed and is not working?it must be a faulty iPhone is this possible?? Let me know please because I don't know what to do anymore.

Hi! I'm live in Brazil too and have the same problem. But it started after I turned off the 3g, once, to save some battery. After that I always need to turn off 3g to conect at least with Edge. Before this the 3g was working well. Weird...

Hope this problem is an ios version problem and can be solved in next version.
