Q: hp network scanning

Hi,

in our office we have 2 iMac with macos x 10.8.3.

We bought HP LaserJet 500 colorMFP M570dw and wanted to make a networking scanning and failed.

can you please help?

Have you checked the hp site for the most recent drivers for 10.8.3
I have a xerox mfp and the printer sware was updated but not the scanner

How are you connecting the printer to the network? Are you sharing from a print server, or do you have it connected directly to the network via wireless or USB?

I am a printer tech for HP.

hi, Shane_R@HP

HP LaserJet 500 colorMFP M570dw is connected to the same wi-fi as our mac.
then we go to setttings in mac os - sharing - file sharing and check windiws smb.
then we go to printer page, select network scan, put everything, and nothing haapens.

Also it doesn't work smbup programm.

If the printer's on the wireless network directly (it has it's own IP), then you don't need to do all of that. You can just add the printer to the Mac's normal print queue. See the information in the link below for information on how to do this. Also, you may want to get the software from the HP site. This will help you by adding HP scan software, and other HP software that helps you manage the printer. Let me know if this helps or not.
