Leopard won't install

Can anyone help, I have a 2005 iMac g5 that meets all the specs for leopard and the instalation window opens up but when I choose my language and hit next it says Mac OSX can not be installed on this machine.

That can happen if you're using a gray-faced OS X installation disk from another system, for example a MacBook or MacBook Pro. The installation disks are locked to the system type they are delivered with and can't be used on other mac systems.
