iPad Sync and Wireless problem

Suddenly my iPad 3 is taking a long time to find my router, even when it is in the same room. My Macbook and PC are not having any problems with the wireless. Also, I have my iPad connected to the Macbook via USB, but iTunes has been stuck on the Syncing iPad message for hours.

I have the latest OS for all devices.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hello Chris,

The following article may be helpful in getting your iPad to cooperate with your WiFi network.

iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

If your iOS device does not auto-join a Wi-Fi network you've already connected to

Avoid giving your Wi-Fi network a common name.

  • Apple maintains a list of common or ambiguous SSIDs, including the default SSID for many commercially available access points, as well as the SSIDs "wireless" and "default".
  • If you do have a common SSID, try changing your network name to something unique.

I would also recommend checking out the "Additional Information" section, as well.

Cheers,

Allen
