I have an ipad first generation. it wont turn on when press the power button. When i plug it into the wall, the screen blinks about once every second. It does not display any logo.
it doesnt seem like i can reset it or put it into recovery mode.
Any suggestions? do you think it has a hardware problem?

Hello oilyragfun, I am having the exact same problem. Did you ever get this resolved?
No history of drops or abuse. When I plug it in the screen just dimly flashes or pulses about once every second. No logo, just the entire screen dimly backlit for a half of a second the blank again. I can't get it to respond with any combination of buttons or reset proceadures.
I know this is an old post but have any of you guys figured this issue out?

I have the same problem for my iPad2. When I plug-in the power or pull the plug out, it blinks and I can see the screen briefly, otherwise all I can see is a dim back light. Any solutions?
