Q: Continually receiving "print file was not accepted" on Canon MX870 connected via wifi

I'm connected from my Macbook running the very latest OS for Mountain Lion and via my NetGear router to my Canon MX870 printer.  At this point, I am extraordinarily frustrated with the lack of support from Apple in their OS. They make it VERY DIFFICULT to install printers and it seems like their support for Canon is an afterthought.
