DVD Image on new MacBook

I have a retina MacBook Pro. It is great. Love it. Question: it does not come with a DVD which is fine mostly but if I want to create DVD projects say from iPhoto, can I at least make the ISO image and then burn it later elsewhere? Any apps available for this?

Thanks,

Instead of creating a ISO file (there isn't a preinstalled app to do it apart from Disk Utility), you can export the pictures into a folder and then, burn the folder to a DVD. To do it, just select the files you want to burn with the Command key, right-click them and choose Burn.

You can use the external disc drive you want. After getting it, you should see the option to burn data again from Finder and Disk Utility
