How do I eject a defective DVD?

How do I eject a defective DVD from my Mac mini, that is stuck? I have tried rebooting it multiple times with no success. Do I have to take the case off in order to get the DVD out? The DVD is a bad copy made on a Copystars DVD duplicator. I put it in to see if any of the original copy was playable. It wasn't.

Mac mini: 2 GHz 2 GB 320G HD, Mac OS X (10.6.4), 2nd computer: G4-400; OS 10.3.9

Thanks for the links, I turned the Mini on it's side while it was off and carefully slid a Business Card in the slot after it had re-booted which made the disc load to the desktop and then was able to eject it normally...
