May 28, 2013 5:59 AM in response to roaminggnomeby USMC 1802,I had a IPOD that I was synching to my apple account...I then added the mini to the account and my itunes no longer recognizes my IPOD...when I attach it it does not even pop up as a device option...it only will sych with the Mini....
I have podcasts that I synch with the ipod for running...I was hoping to avoid having to have a second itunes account...there was one recommendation to do a new play list however if it does not recognize the ipod it cannot exchange...

Try:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1369
Does it charge?
- Try another cable.
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
