Macbook stuck on black screen

Hello,

I recently tried to install Windows 7 onto my macbook, but it didn't work due to bootcamp not able to partition the hdd. I removed the Windows cd then started my macbook. I heard the chime but nothing after. Then it goes to a black screen shortly after with a flashing underscore in the top left corner. I tried all sorts of solutions like holding down option, and all the other key combinations but nothing. I haven't opened up the computer so it shouldn't be a hardware issue. Please help ASAP. I also tried putting in my snowleopard usb to see if it wouold boot from it, but it won't. Just straight to a black screen.

Resolution

When using a USB optical or Flash drive to install Windows, disconnect all other USB devices from the computer except for the USB Windows install media, keyboard, and mouse.

Follow these steps if you encounter this issue.

Press and hold the power button to shutdown the computer.

Remove all USB devices except for the Windows installation media, keyboard, and mouse.

Turn your computer on again and immediately hold down the Option key until you see a screen from which you can choose your startup drive.

Select the Windows install media to start the Windows installation process.
