    iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

     

    If your updating from your iOS device, you must be running iOS 5 or better

    Settings>>General>>Software Updates

     

    If your not updated beyond iOS 5, you'll have to update using iTunes

     

    Highest Updates:

    iPhone 1/iTouch 1 - iOS 2.2.1 OR iOS 3.1.3 (if paid)

    iPhone 3G/ iTouch 2 - iOS 4.2.1

    iTouch 3/iPad 1 - iOS 5.1.1

    iPhone 3s or better / iTouch 4 or better / iPad 2 or better (to current) - iOS 6.1.3

    iPhone 5 - iOS 6.1.4
